Title: Peach tree protection
Post by: tricia on December 19, 2011, 23:08:25
I pruned my peach tree quite radically a few weeks ago but it has still not dropped its leaves. I want to spray and cover it for the winter, but the advice is to spray at leaf fall. The peach tree is the only one of all my fruit trees not to be 'winter bare'.  The weather has been so wet and windy these past few days I had hoped the foliage would finally give up! So - do I wait even longer or spray and cover the tree now?

I'd spray (against leaf curl presumably?) and cover it now... they will fall soon enough..  :)

Thanks goodlife and saddad - rain forecast for tomorrow but as soon as it's dry enough I shall spray and cover the tree and hope for less peach leaf curl next year.
