Post by: small on September 23, 2011, 11:37:11: They are beautiful! I had a really poor year for sunflowers, just couldn't get them to germinate, and the few that did have not really thrived....next year...how often do we say that...

I've never grown sunflowers at home but outside of my office, where I've been feeding the birds, some of the sunflower seeds they've been dropping since the spring grew into some beautiful sunflowers - about fifteen in total. As they were mixed in with wild roses, it was a very pretty picture :)

I like the ones with multiple heads.

Just need OH to upload the new photos... :-[

due to bad weather and other reasons. Won't let that happen again!
