Title: Whats eating my sweetcorn?
Post by: florence on September 04, 2011, 13:28:58
Hi
Can anyone solve my sweetcorn mystery please? The sweetcorn cobs have been picked, the sweetcorn eaten and the empty cob left on the ground by the plants - any idea what might be doing this? There are rats but they usually nibble the corn off the cob on the plant and I don't see how they would pick them. There are no badgers on the site, the plants haven't been knocked over and there are no signs of trampling. There are also foxes but IO can't see a fox pick a cob in this way or have the rats learnt to pick the cobs? I'd think human but don't think anyone would pick approximately 10 and eat them raw on site.....
Has anyone else had similar? Any ideas would be appreciated....
Thanks.

Yes you are totally right Kev a rat who eats someone elses sweetcorn does not deserved to be referred to as human.

My thoughts are that it could have been squirrels.
