Every year I try to grow fennel, and have yet to eat a home grown one  :( I will keep trying though

lovely! and well done, they can be a bit akward - mine are this year, last year was brilliant. Think your Tone is right about a bit of water and often, maybe helps them to stop bolting ....

Daughter has grown wonderful fennel. She bought plants from vegplantsdirect, planted them & that was it.
