Title: What's wrong with my cherry tree
Post by: Poppy Mole on July 11, 2011, 16:18:50
Please can someone tell me what is wrong with my cherry tree. I had a small crop of cherries this year the first time it has fruited, but now it seems to be dying at the tips.

Drought perhaps? They quite shallow rooted, so it might be vulnerable. How long's it been in the ground?

They need loads of water when young. Often get greenfly invasion which ruins top leaves but do recover from that following year.

Been watering my apple tree as it has only just gone in, The die back is often due to lack of water.
If the aphids are attacking the tree tips then a good blast with a jet hose should shift them off.
I don't do chemicals in here.
