Title: What flower

I had a bunch of flowers given to me today and this flower was in the bunch, quite large, thick woody colour stem, most unusually,
any ideas what it is,

Cockscomb to the uneducated !   I think it can be used for winemaking!    :o    Cheers,   Tony.
