Title: High level Duck
Post by: Digeroo on March 19, 2011, 10:32:34
A mallard duck appears to been nesting in the leylandii hedge opposite about two metres from the ground.  Not sure how any duckling will get down to earth from there.

Does anyone know if they will get splatted or can they just bounce?

seen that before Flighty and enjoy it every time!
Your mallard should be fine, a number of ducks nest in trees!

Many thanks for this link.  Amazing.  Lets hope they go onto the lawn and not onto the tarmac and splat on the footpath.

They are also quite a long way from any water.  They nest round here every year and even tap their beaks on the back door to get food.
