We have snowdrops, primroses, hellebores, and nearly the Rynvelds Early daffodil.  No crocuses flowering yet, though.  Noticed tulips poking their heads above ground, and various herbaceous plants just starting to show.  Roses shooting and need urgent pruning.  All lovely.   ;D  I've sorted my seeds, and am aiming to get into the greenhouse soon and start sowing.  I love these mild spells when you can feel winter beginning to be beaten back.   ;D

Must take my camera out as well - and learn how to post pictures on here.

I think I may have lost a young eucalyptus, will wait and see.  Otherwise, surprised damage so far much less than last year - maybe because all the weaker ones were killed off then.  I dug up one of my dahlias just to check, last weekend, and it was fat and healthy.

Anyway, rest over, am back off outside now  ;D ;D ;D

It looks like I've lost my black bamboo this year.  :'( It is supposed to be hardy down to -15C, but it looks awfully sickly. I'm just hoping it will pick up with new shoots in March.

The good news is that the herbaceous plants are actually starting to have tiny green shoots appearing. I've got a forget-me-not in a small pot in my PVC greenhouse and it has doubled in size almost over the weekend.

Mine are in the green and the hazel catkins are out too.
I have left all the seed heads to the birds. They have just about got to the whole of the garden and hoovered up what is on the floor.
