Hi
I have searched the boards on how to make "wine" from apples without success. Please could someone direct me to the recipe for same? Many thanks, ;o)

Cannot find a recipe on the boards, but here is one we have used before
8lbs of mixed apples, cookers, eaters, crab.
3 lb sugar
yeast
1 gallon of water
Cut up the apples, but don't peel. Remove any bad bits and all the pips.
Cold soak for about 4 days, stirring two or three times a day.
Strain and squeeze all the liquid out, add sugar and yeast and put in your demijohn as per normal wine making.

Many thanks for that!

I aquired an old steamer/juicer and made a batch of apple wine a few years ago. It's lik whisk(e)y now! You can adjust to your taste by altering the ratio of cookers to eaters, but this can be a long process. Use a suitable yeast. Hock or sauterne. No Santa in the icons with a thick head! Cheers, Tony.

WEll I will need to get myself a "demijohn" to start with. I am a complete novice! Thanks.
