Title: PFA harvest
Post by: Tee Gee on September 25, 2010, 18:40:09
A two or three years ago a friend gave me half a dozen Pink Fir Apple tubers which I saved and planted out the following year.

Each year since my harvest has increased tremendously and this year I think was the best yet!

This is what I got from 25 tubers I saved from last year;

At a rough guess about half a hundredweight

They're so delicious. I never get such a good yield - but you deserve to, as you look after your potatoes so much better!

They're a lot later than nbormal modern maincrops, I made. that mistake last year and harvested too early.... it's easily done, they were the last things out..... that said, if you think they're bad try Congo.... I doubt I'll get mine up much before November......
