Title: What squash is this.....?

Some (okay most) say its a pumpkin but i bought butternut squash seeds - but its certainly not a butternut squash......i would love conclusive answer.

Weight?

Depending on above it will be a potimarron , maybe even a  uchiki Kuri

I just weighed it and Its 4 kg or 9lbs.

Does this help with your decision.

I looked at grannieannies pictures and i thought it looked a bit like f1sunshine?  But i am no expert lol!

It's twice the size of a Sunshine and not as squat. I would say it definatley the Uchiki Kuri which grows to 10 pounds so size is right,stem is correct type for a kuri  ( round and corky)  fruit shape and colour are right.

It is a great tasing squash and keeps well.

wow your knowledge in squashes is amazing - thank you so very much.

I will proudly tell the farmer down the road its a squash.  I grew butternut this year and he loved them, and he tried this year but no luck so i will proudly give him this one and tell him to try it.
