Title: Are chickens clever?
Post by: grannyjanny on August 14, 2010, 21:25:14
Last night at about 8ish I went & gave the girls some dried meal worms as a treat. Tonight at the same time the 4 of them were gathered in a corner looking at the house as if they were waiting for me. Surely they're not that quick ;).
I sat on the straw bale & they all jumped up & ate out of my hand. Lovely.

Yes they are clever, cleverer than jimmy any way. They could smell where the meal worms were. They are more aware than most people give them credit for and very soon learn who to trust.

They are indeed clever - i only need to open the door handle and they are having a party thinking its feed time lol!

That Jimmy programme was good and very interesting - i keep watching my chooks to work out whose boss!
