Don't know what it is, but it's definitely not a Bonbon, which is what I thought I gave you!

Neither have I  ;D But I like the way you have labelled the plant  :) my labels are now all hidden by the plants themselves so it's a right pain when I want to figure out what is what!

We have to label everything so that we can see what is or has been planted in the space cos by the time next year comes we both will have forgotten what the hell was there.

well it was only becasue when I was on my plot the other day some of my Rouge Vif D'Etamps had changed from the bright yellow to a deep orange colour that made me think of it. I wonder if Betty got the seeds from a swap because I know I did put some of those seeds in. Here's a pic of 1 of mine from a couple of weeks agao (before the orange phase!)

on 2nd thoughts maybe not cos mine aren't as pointy at the top (if you see what I mean) they are flatter, but they had those white stripes and are now orange.
A photo from today might explain a bit better!

It could be a potimarron cross..

This is very puzzling.
I didn't sow seeds of any of the varieties mentioned so far and nothing I am growing looks anything like Shirl's.
I sowed a whole packet of Bonbons, but I can't remember now if anyone sent me Bonbons in the seed swap which I might also have sown.

It will be interesting to find out what it is!

It,s a Triffid squash, appears when you haven't grown it and is a mystery to all..don't get too close !!

It could be a potimarron cross..

I think that sounds likely, or even just a large Potimarron, mine are much smaller than Shirls tho  :D
