Title: £30 for a slice of pumpkin
Post by: Squash64 on November 05, 2009, 07:40:47: I gave one of the big pumpkins left after the competition to some of our Bangladeshi plotholders.

Yesterday, they gave me £30 they had raised by selling slices of it to their friends and family!

I thought that was really lovely, nobody has ever done anything like that before. :)

The £30 will go to our fund-raising for Macmillan/Air Ambulance.

When they gave me the money yesterday Habib kept asking me "Are you happy with that?" because he was worried I would think it wasn't enough!

They are such a nice family.

It was 116 pounds but it only came sixth in the competition!
