Title: Allotments UK
Post by: Unwashed on September 04, 2009, 20:04:37
I'm sorry if it's bad form to ask this - but does anyone know what happened to Allotments UK. It was a reasonably active forum last year but there's virtually no one there any more.

I'm a non active member there. I forgot my password some months back, sent four emails about it and never received a reply!

Actually that happened to me too - so I re-registered in the end.

I used to be a regular poster there but found after a while that my knowledge generally exceeded most posters and so I wasnt learning anything so popped over here and stayed because most posters know more than me on here and I learn.  ;D

Perhaps thats whats happened with others too?

I remember the forum being created - the site itself is quite old, the forum relatively new!

I've edited your post to remove the direct link, one thing the mods are quite good at over the road is being high up on search engine results - don't want to help them to much ;)

Cheers

Dan

Think I signed up once but never went on there again.  Once I looked on here it felt like a comfortable place to stay. Sometimes it gets a bit uncomfortable but another shake up of the cushions and its as it was ;D

Too late, Dan, I clicked the link and found the site!  Don't worry though, it's one I've looked at before and not a patch on this'ere.  I'm staying.

You could have shared some of that general knowledge with those that needed it  ;) ;D
