Oooh!  I only sowed mine last week - how long did they take to get to that size?

about 4 weeks, georgie, v peppery, wonder if they're less strong if they're small..they're growing very quickly with all the rain and are not eaten as much by the slugs  :)
I'm going to sow some later for winter  ;D

Manics, is that these guys (http://www.mr-fothergills.co.uk/catalogue/product/2133-1/)?

I bought seed, but I know they were free with a mag just over a month ago. I've been cooking & currying them from about three weeks post sowing.  8)

Too be honest, if I tried to eat mine in a public place I'd probably be arrested; they're three to four inches across.  :D Mine are confined to a pot, I dread to think what size they'd grow to in open ground!

I've eaten the great big pickled German 'crisps' and they are delish, I really should dust off the mandolin & find some decent pickling recipes. ;)
