Title: Black fly
Post by: lalilala on June 21, 2009, 19:06:44
I am plagued with black fly. They are on my new runner beans, also had to give up on spring broad beans as also devastated by them. Neighbouring plots not affected. I am feeling victimised. Any solutions to my problem out there?

I blast them off with the hose, the fall breaks their legs, it must do as they are not back .........................Yet :D

My broad beans were plastered, I sprayed them with an agricultural soap, my broadies are now romping away again, I haven't even had to nip the tops off yet.

I've got lots of cleavers on my allotment, the blackfy seem to prefer them now.
