apparently the 'in ' drink of 2009 does any one have a recipe or ideas....... ;)
want to fresh elderflowers of course when the rain stops

I would just make it the way I make any fruit vodka, grab a sealable tub, mix vodka and whatever you want to add ( in this case elderflowers ) leave to soak for a month swilling every now and then.
then sieve all fruit or flowers out and add a sugar solution untill it tastes as sweet as it needs to be.

Sounds like a great idea. My Rhubab vodka has turned out to be quite nice and the elderflower coridal was great as well. Elderflower vodka should work just fine.

That's pretty much it but with elder as with most other flowers you only infuse it for a couple of days not a month.

Ta Baccy Man as I ran out ofter reading this and bought some vodka and used the remaining elderflowers in the fridge.
Smells lovely and now I can taste it much sooner than I thought..
