Title: Another d.i.y bean support
Post by: nilly71 on June 05, 2009, 08:39:49
A friend of mine was going to scrap her large trampoline. I asked for the legs as they make a U shape.

I have used 3 uprights and cut one end of the U shape on each section.

The string goes up to about 5' then is angled at about 45 degrees and goes slightly over the path, to make picking easier and dwarf beans are growing underneath.

By the way, it's not finnished yet ;D

Very impressive... are they just buried at the ground end, or in postset? Just thinking about the weight of plant material on the overhang and "moments" around a point...  :-\

as in the munty frame idea:

The bottom section is in the ground, you can just see about 5" sticking out.
I'm going to tie the uprights to the 6x2 behind, so that should be blenty to hold it up.
