Title: Rural TV on sky
Post by: a.buaras on May 22, 2009, 18:37:17
For all you guys missing UKTV Garden there's another SKY channel called Rural TV - No 279, it was launched this March ....it's not exactly like UKTV Garden, its more about American farming, produce and wild west lifestyle...

you can check it out for yourself and they actually ask people to email in with their suggestions, maybe a couple of people from this forum can suggest they do a feature about allotments in America....what do you think?

Rural Tv is a really good channel not only does it give an insight to the American way of country life but also the UK, more than likely the programmes I have already seen will be repeated love repeats, :)

If you have cable try horse and country channel 280. You sometimes get occasional gardening programmes on there. At 10pm tonight it is home grown, all about using local produce and local recipes.

It's a bit better than the God channel   ;D

Watching Rural TV this afternoon  it was a country cooking programme, I can't remember the ladies name but she made a dish out of carrots and egg with a cheese in the middle like a swiss roll, then she went to press some apple juice which she used in one of her dishes, also I might add she was not bad looking for an oldie, :)
