Hi any advice on growing watermelon sugar baby just got packet of seed from aldi for 28p for 30 seeds  got to be worth a gamble for that price

Im growing the orange melon they have, i just treat them like cucumbers tie in to stakes and then support developing fruit by keeping only two or three on each plant and stick them in the feet of tights or even those net orange bags you get at the supermarket tied with string or tights to somewhere above the fruit. Keep them moist like a tomato to stop splitting due to drought and flood. and hope for a sunny warm summer!

Thanks sunloving having looked a several sites about growing watermelon  it looks like pot luck if you get any fruit from plant

we got good results last year by hand pollinating our melons, not watermelons though, too damp and cold last year  ;D
