Title: broad beans
Post by: Anne Field on April 13, 2009, 13:53:20
hi!
can anybody please tell me whether anything will eat my broad beans (beside me!). Do I need to net them? Wood pigeons are a problem here - but do they eat broad beans? Your help would be appreciated - many thanks.

If you have little notches in the leaves its not pigeons its pea and bean weevil !!
Just hoe the rows often and thats about all you can do they dont do to much damage and as the plants grow they cant reach them !

It's really the wood pigeons I'm worried about - they seem to eat everything else in my garden except for runner beans and french beans!
