Title: artichoke offsets

Early this year I transplanted some globe artichoke offsets that I discovered on a nearby abandoned plot.
After liberally dosing them with manure in late summer, they've really picked up and have now produced their own offsets.
Does anyone have an opinion on what should I do? - Will they weaken the plants too much and stop them producing top globes next year - or shall I let them romp on?

Some general advice-do not let them run to flower,OK they look pretty but it will weaken the plants.

After a season or two you may find that some plants produce bigger and better artichokes than others-take the off shoots of these to increase your numbers and dig up those that appear weak and feeble.
