www.bbc.co.uk/digin
Apart from the free seeds, while they last, there are information sheets available.

i've sent for these but i don't like the idea of butternut squash, not because they may be difficult to grow - they just look yakky :-X

Post by: thifasmom on April 24, 2009, 13:50:39: yep mine has arrived about an hour ago. i say mine but i really mean the kids packets that i ordered through cbeebies have arrived. mine hasn't arrived which i ordered through the dig in site but that's OK i have two packs which is what i was hoping to get and now i can pass on one packet to my friend which was the plan all along as i didn't know her address at the time of ordering.

I'm going to keep mine away from my youngest daughter. She developed a habit of putting stickers from apples onto the fridge. I didn't mind till I found when I eventually peeled them off they left all the glue behind on the fridge door. ::)

Carrots are on hold as I ,ve already sown some . Just want to say THANKYOU to the person at Gardeners World /BBC who organised this . It really is a wonderful thing you,ve done ! .....and I,m really enjoying the new series . :)

yes they are the same seeds, my kids own arrived last weekend one each, one pack was sent to a friend in SE london and one pack stayed here. mine that i ordered on the same day arrived yesterday so i have passed it on to another friend, three packs three homes thanks bbc.

Went for a good walk today, Wood Green to Golders Green, through Alexandra Palace, Highgate Woods, Kenwood House and ended up at Golders Green, and on the way they were digging up all the bulbs (black tulips, I believe) daisies, white and pink, and wallflowers and all free for the taking, just thrown in a big heap and people were helping themselves with permission from the park department. Came home with a rucksack full of tulip bulbs and daisies. Will plant at the allotment tomorrow. Not sure I really need them but cannot resist a freebe and my friend and me had a good laugh and got on the tube to come home with all these plants hanging out of our rucksacks. The man I was talking to said he had replanted the tulip bulbs on a Council owned site (with permission) and as no-one had known or the paper work had been passed on they were all dug up again and thrown on a heap.

I don't really need anymore seeds, just like to get something through the post apart from bills. I watered today but it felt stormy but no rain yet. I'm going to France on 24th May, was going to Italy but my friend can't fly as she has a detached retina in her eye and gas in it (put in by Moorfields), doc. said it would burst on a plane so we are going by train. Perhaps we may have done better in Bournemouth but you know what old people are like, going with the Ramblers as it is a walking holiday. I expect we will have a good laugh and try not get lost like we usually do.
