how long can can lyon 2 prizetaker leeks stay in the ground are they winter hardy or do I lift them now

Don't know. Do you need them now? Are they big enough to eat? So? = Tim

yes they are big enough to eat for about a month now just do not want to lose them when the cold waether comes

I said 'don't know' - about your variety - but leeks are generally regarded as winter hardy, so I wouldnt worry too much. On the other hand, if they are 'autumn' leeks, they are likely to get soft & coarse if left too long. I reckon leeks are best at about 1" across. = Tim
