Title: Lighting for greenhouse
Post by: meg_gordon on November 08, 2008, 17:48:35
Hi everybody

Did a quick search on the forum before posting, so forgive me if this has been discussed at length before - I've got electricity in my greenhouse and want to put up lighting - mainly so I can see what I'm doing if I need to go out in dark rather than to force seedlings - although I might get around to that too - what would you advise - is strip lighting the best?

I use two 4ft strip lights, one fixed to the ridge and one over my hot bed.

This is my set up;http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Data/My%20set%20up/My%20Set%20up.htm (http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Data/My%20set%20up/My%20Set%20up.htm)

Make sure you have an RCD fitted for safety reasons.

Thanks TeeGee - my greenhouse is 8 x 8, so I think that will fit.

Tee Gee- some great information - I've copied it to save. Thank you for your expertise.
