Okay Jeannine. Still nothing today. As soon as it arrives I will post to let you all know it is here safely. I wonder if it went differently than first class....I don't know whether small package is as fast as first class and if the package was large it might have had to go that way. I'm sure it will arrive tomorrow....so I am keeping everyting crossed!

Oh yeas, Christmas, birthday, easter and mothering Sunday all rolled into one. Daughter number one sat with me and we went through all the seeds. I had to play a guessing game, she covered the names and I had to guess the veg from the pics. Anyhow, have selected a few and have taken a pinch out of some where there are masses of seeds and i only want a few and I will add a few bits and bobs and then they will be heading north if not tomorrow, then Tuesday.

b*gger, I went for ray's prescription and missed it, can't believe it, I was only out for 15 minutes, Ray's in bed with enteritis and was asleep..postie must've brushed the door..anyway, I've been on and arranged for it to be dropped off at the post office on friday, I will get it back in the post on monday, first thing, so sorry, people :-\

I've just spotted this post. Sooooo excited that the parcel is on it's way. The hard part will be restraining myself from buying too many other seeds from all the catalogues that have landed on my doorstep before it arrives. I will never fit in everything I want to try!
I will have to sort my seeds out in preparation (I know I'm all the way down the list but I am so disorganised ;D )

Its arrived - sitting outside the front door this morning with a dusting of snow on the top - and its like Christmas all over again. ;D
As we have snow and there is no point in trecking to the lottie I can go through it today and hopefully post it this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

Expect them to reach six feet or so. I grow them up wigwams made of eight-foot canes, wound about with spirals of string to give them something to grip. They're best started in pots under cover around late April or May.

Most of my french beans are of the climbing variety, so I will have even more wigwams around the plot :D

Jeannine set this one up and she's not around at the moment because of a family crisis. Might be best to watch out for new swaps and join in before the list closes. There is a 'never-ending' roundabout swap started by Trinity that you can join at any time so why not put your name down there for starters? Remember to wish Trinity Happy Birthday!

I sent him some seeds in October, it was meant to be a swap. I have not heard anything from him, even though i posted on his thread and sent him pm's.

There is still some hope.
If the parcel is delivered, then the new tenants may open the parcel and cotton on to forwarding it.
If it is undelivered, then eventually Royal Mail will open it, they will find a list of addresses.

Not quite right. Her 'old address' was her parents apparently, she just took a long time to collect it. It hasn't been posted on to anyone else, nor have the two roundabout swap parcels last known to have been received by Trinity.

I wouldn't worry. It isn't your fault. You had a great idea and it worked very well. It is just a shame that a few of these swaps have all ended at the same place. :(
It sort of dampens the excitement somewhat.

That's kind Jeannine but not necessary. You've been generous enough already and you certainly shouldn't have to put right the dishonesty of others.
The irony is that one of Trinity's swaps is going round the last couple of people before it gets sent back to her. How annoying is that?

Can't help thinking that in all fairness when that ongoing swap ends that it should be 'diverted' to the people remaining on this swap that were disappointed.
I'm not even involved in this swap but I can't help noticing and feeling bad for the ones that have waited so long to end up with nothing. Or the ones that have generously added to the parcels that went missing. Surely Trinity would want that. ;D
That's probably a totally unethical suggestion but I'm a relative newbie and a sticky beak, you'll have to excuse me. ;)

Oh dear, it doesn't sound too good. Sad really as all my others went well and the remains of this one were not coming back to me but were going on to be shared through a church.
Well just 3 1/2 weeks before I get back to Canada and I might well send some seeds over anyway..just have to really..gotta share.
I will try and troll through the posts to see if the list stayed as is started and see who lost out.

Why don't one of you still remaining on this swap get in touch with cambourne who didn't know what to do with the 'I've too much stuff' swap now it's ended - which I believe originated with Trinity?
Could be a fair solution, don't you think? ;D

its a great idea cheerfulness. jeannine there is a list of runners at the front of this thread. i would contact camboourne but as i am one of the ones on the list i wouldnt want to appear greedy and put anyone in a awkward position. i am happy to go along with the general consensus. i hope trinity is ok, as i think in another thread she said she had been unwell. good luck with the move. ;)
