Title: How to NOT bring ants and bugs inside in pots
Post by: GrannieAnnie on October 05, 2008, 19:02:16
I've decided to try to grow our fig tree indoors for the winter since it cannot survive
outside. It is in a huge pot in which I'm sure ants and other bugs are residing.
Do you have a suggestion how to treat it to prevent an invasion of our house without
contaminating the soil? I don't want to remove all the soil if possible.

raise the pot a 1/4 inch and then place some ant powder or ant gell round the bottom, they should take it back to the nest, then all be ok to put the pot back on the ground,

even when you do that just place some ant gell in dots should be fine.
