Post by: betula on September 26, 2008, 14:22:53
To be won on the lottery this weekend.

What would you do with this kind of money.??

Very rarely do the lottery but I think I will this weekend. :)

To much money in one go, but if I won, I would send some food parcels to Birmingham.

:o :o Euromillions, surely? (drawn on a Friday, not Saturday for those unsure)

It's an insane amount of money but at least it's dished out in various countries.  Imagine the good that could be done by winning such a large amount?  ;D

Yep, I got suckered in too, betula! I hardly ever do the lottery, but thought I would have a go. I would only really need a tiny, tiny amount of that amount to make my life perfect, so loads of charities would be on my list.

I could be that mad woman who leaves all her money to the Cat's Home!

 :D

Never too much money,  apart from a very large family just think of how many charities would benefit.

Betula I would have someone in to repair my organ (no funny remarks please)
it has stood in my dining room for 6 years waiting for my son to get the part to repair it ;D Maybe the thought of me banging away on it is putting him off.

I don't gamble but if I aquired this amount of money. I would love to build a community project with all kinds of things for teenagers and youngsters at no cost..It would have all the stuff that kids should have access to and don't.

Sports stuff, pools, pitches with coaches to show them how. all drop in so they could come when they wished.

A craft part with kilns and all kinds of other stuff,  again with tutors.

A kitchen  with multiple ovens etc geared up to give great cookery classes.

A creche  with support for teenage Mums and Dad

An oppertunity for the kids to help mangae it too.

Oh gosh i would need three lotteries,

I like your thinking Tin Shed...but you wouldn't need an allotment you could have your own estate!

Personally i would buy about 100 acres and get an eco friendly house built right in the middle.  probably about 5 bedrooms.

Next, buy a digger and get trained to use it  and then dig a moat around the whole site with a draw bridge.

Next have a biggish allotment say about 3 acres and then start planting trees on the rest of the land.

In the mean time i would give a couple of million to my direct family.  Plan to give away about £200,000 a year to charities. I would also plan to help the remainder of the family if they will let me.

Oh and do a bit of first class travel.

Fantastic, count me in!  I've always said something similar myself  :D

On a side note (and semi light heartedly) I am always surprised that more people place a bet on the lottery when the jackpot reaches 20 million plus.  Would the usual total of four million not be enough then?  ;D ;D

Well, there's world poverty, social deprivation, hunger, disease - and much of these are caused (or made worse) by corruption in high places.

So, just for fun, I'd offer bribes to every official I came across, secretly tape them and if they accepted, I'd have them fired!

 ;D
