Where on earth did you buy it from?.
Send a letter to the company not the shop you may do well out of them!!.
What a nightmare to find all that rubbish, fight your corner on this one Manic.

That's a disgrace!

Mind you I see from the second picture that it's 'multi purpose with added...' and the next word is hidden.  Are you sure they didn't warn you?   ;D  ;D  ;D

Quite frankly I think that matter should go straight to Trading Standards or whatever they're called.

Hey, steady on.

Have you thought that the company may not be to blame, it could be someone with a grudge against the company (having been given notice or some other reason) getting back at them. If all the bags were like that, wouldn't we have more comments about it.

Complain to Netto and the company, but be reasonable and you may finish up with a load of free compost. I once complained to a company about some faulty tea bags and received a voucher for far more than the value of the box of tea bags.

I've just sent pictures, the same as I've put on here, asking if their filter system has stopped working, I'm quite a reasonable person, really  ;D
also, one of our friends bought one, he mixed it in with his greenhouse border soil  ::)

yep, part of the big three, lidl, netto and aldi..
it's not them, it's richmoor, the company that made the stuff, no reply, sent another e mail, next I'm threatening trading standards...no excuses..it's been a couple of weeks now  :(
just noticed, it's 3 weeks tomorrow..
found a piece of a metal file top yesterday, nothing interesting like coins or gold  ;D

perhaps another email to them saying you've been using your metal detector and discovered several valuable roman coins in their compost and that you'd just love to know how and where they made their compost - that might get an answer  ;D

Last year I got a bad of Levington's john Innes 1 from local garden centre that looked like that with big pieces of bark in it I suppose i should have taken it back but I just used it as mulch on the border and never buy that brand anymore. There was no way it was seedling compost more coarse bark mulch.

Hi, I'm not going to name the product concerned, but the company I work for (an international toiletries company) found them selling counterfeit products of ours. Trading Standards and Fraud Squad were involved.

RESULT!!!!
after getting in touch with trading standards, they decided they couldn't do anything as mine was the only complaint  :(
BUT they rang the company who said they had had difficulties with the e mail address for customer complaints  ::) not sure if this was a cop out
anyhoo, trading standards gave me another e mail addie..sent it off 2 days ago, heard today, they're sending me vouchers, very sorry, isolated incidence, could I please send the bag back so's they can trace it from the batch number, I can't find it so they can try..I'll let you know what I get, shan't be buying compost with it, though  ;D

Glad to hear your perseverance paid off Manics. Too many people just shrug their shoulders and complain to all and sundry - but not to the manufacturer of the substandard product!

Well done you!
