Emptied the freezer of last years raspberries yesterday, I'm now converting 16 pounds into 4 gals of wine, while Tracie is converting 8 pounds into jam and 6 pounds into jelly. ;)

Wonderful crop! And having enough to make jam and wine!  How many plants do you have to have to get that crop??

We have only about 7 Fall Heritage rasp. plants and I've been amazed at the daily pickings we're getting- enough for two of us and most are a good solid size compared to the Spring everbearing ones we used to grow and which we're pulling out in favor of these.

They look lovely, raspberries are my favourite. I will add Bliss to my list of plants for next year.  Inheritied some raspberries canes and only have enough for me to eat whilst digging.  I assume you prune and fertilise, will try harder next year.

Ain't it just, asbean.

I bought six canes two years ago.  Only five of the canes grew, but had a reasonable crop first year.

In his wisdom OH planted the canes alongside the greenhouse.  They suckered into the greenhouse border. This year we have had a fantastic crop in the greenhouse.  Have been picking for weeks. Difficult to see where the tomatoes end and the raspberries begin. ;D ;D

The outdoor canes are starting to fruit.  We really are up to our oxters in raspberries, and that is just from five canes in three years (not that I'm complaining).

Joan J is a variety I would thoroughly recommend,  The fruits can be huge, about the size of a loganberry, and the flavour is wonderful.
