I think she's off to Cornwall for 2 weeks so you'll either need to wait or shout very loudly! ;)

good tomato, I would just slice it sprinkle a little salt on it and eat it on its own or with some sliced red onion.

Our lunch every day now is a slab of bread, a slab of beefsteak tom slathered in mayo. and maybe some slices cooked bacon.  Yum-my.  I could eat that every day of the year and not complain ;D

My absolute favourite sandwich at this time is any bread, white, wholemeal, whatever.

Spread the bread thinly with butter, then spread thickly with Philadelphia cheese.  Thinly slice tomatoes and spread over the cheese.   Sprinkle with plenty of salt.  Sandwich together and enjoy.

Oh my! Philadelphia cream cheese on anything tastes good but I've never tried it with tomatoes.  I made bruchetta today with some of the toms roasted. Nice.

heaviest beefsteak harvested this morning weighed in at just over 400g (don't know what that is in Old Money) with others between 350-400g 8)

But the BAD news is that they're all green.

Blight just started on the plant so v. hopeful that they will ripen between newspaper in trays.

And it will happen when I'm away on holiday ;D
