Title: Pointless weeds!
Post by: Mrs Ava on August 07, 2004, 16:48:27
Couple of snaps from the old garden.  As you can tell, I am not a great designer, just grow things, so colours clash wonderfully!

Hi, EJ
Nothing wrong with your planting! I like to see a natural looking garden! When you take a walk in the countryside, you won't see only hot colours growing together, or a bank only covered in flowers of shades of blue!
I'm afraid I'm rather old-fashioned when it comes to planting - I look for where a plant will go according to space first, and if it has a lovely perfume it HAS to go somewhere where I am able to smell it without doing yoga in case I fall in the flower bed!  :D

Its lovely, how a garden should be , I love the plants jostling about and hugging each other. I'm not a great lover of colour co-ordination it all just disappears in a mass of blue, white or whatever, but you could sink into your garden Emma and have the colours do their thing. ;D
