Post by: Pasher on July 05, 2008, 12:57:35
Hi ???
can anyone tell me why my gem squash are only producing golf ball size squash and are not developing any bigger? I have one in the green house and 5 outside and there appears to be no difference in sizes of squash.

any help would be appreciated.

I grow a lot of gem squash and usually leave them on the plant through summer. Usually mine are eating size around august. Are yours turning yellow? They should be a mid green when they are golfball size. If thay are still green, they should continue growing. Gems enjoy a sunny spot, fertile soil and lots of water.
