That cauli looks good...we are growing the All year round and they are the size of a base ball at the moment " sorry avoiding tennis" this is our first year growing them as they tend to take a lot of goodness out of the ground and this being our third season we  wanted the ground to be well fed etc. I hope ours turn out like yours, enjoy the munch however you cook it ;D.

Cheers
Tony

We have 11 well maybe 12 if one picks up and they are dancing in manure that was layed very late " Feb/March" this year....The council should have delivered in Oct/Nov last year ??? a real head banger but let's not go down that route.

Cheers

Jealous, very jealous!  :'( For three years I have tried to grow cauliflowers and all I ever seemed to produce was fantastic slug food with no curds.  >:(

Well done, I'm hoping the fact that I spent a fortune on Clapton seeds will help as the site I am on has club root.  Fingers crossed.  :P

Fantastic, I love cauli, so much nicer than brocolli in my mind. I've always managed to grow them which is odd as I was told they were really hard. Just luck!

Mine are still half that size.

Broccoli?

"Cauliflower
Technically, there are two sorts of cauliflowers, summer and winter.  The former is a proper cauliflower ,while  the latter variety is a type of broccoli."

But you mean the green stuff?

Yes, calabrese or whatever. Cauliflower seems to have become much less popular unlike this.

As all my notes are at home, so I cannot remember what type of Cauli I sowed this year as a tial.  Hopefully it will come true by the time I get home.  I have only ever tried 'All year round' and had my success has been less than half.  More like 1/4.

All my Calabrese is ready to be picked now, so my OH says.

I've never managed to grow a cauli successfully. What's the secret?

I'm having great luck with my caulis this year.  Growing all year round and have harvested 7 so far,  big fat heads.  Got another 7 or so in the ground, but suspect they'll all be ready at exactly the same time  ::)  I think they like this weather.

Guess what I picked 8 cauliflowers last week first time ever, all came together never mind.  Guess what else I have a lovely one this week in the middle of what I thought were all cabbages, can`t stop now 8)

...in my case KatherineH, its pot luck! I've never grown cauliflower in my garden before, and I am pleased with the results.

Keeping all things crossed for the celeriac, because I have not managed to grow one yet. All previous attempts have been leaves and roots but no celeriac in between  ???

My cauli's are bolting and no matter how I bend the leaves over they keep going purple!  Hey but it still tastes good and it is my very first year!  My calbrese are doing well and my cabbage are lovelly.  It's all so exciting.  My pride and joy though is my marrow, sorry no pics.
