I have an admission.

Got to 40,000' in a Meteor jet - first time in a jet - no feedback in the headphones - dead silence - standing still in mid air - panic - 'max rate descent', as taught - get home!!

Brave fighter pilot? SHAME!!

And, of course, I've saved those great photos.

They are truly superb pictures!
When you think that it took about 14% of Americas GDP for over a decade to put a man on the Moon then you have to ask if it was worth it.
When I look at our planet, our home in its entirety, from space. I say it was worth it :)
