I got some coppiced wood from a local grower - more sustainable than bamboo, but more expensive. On the other hand it lasts longer.

I use bamboo that I bought 2 years ago BUT now I get coppiced wood from a local wood, the idea of using bamboo that has been flown from the other side of the world is really mad but I only realised that once I'd already done it!! Use sticks from this country and be green, not sticks from Asia.

I'm using netting this year. I put two frames up - 15 foot long X 6 foot high - so 30 foot of bean space. Planted the beans 9 inches apart on alternate sides. They're only seedlings at the mo, but I'm hoping they'll jump up the net  :D
