Title: pink calla bulb

my friend bought a bulb today which she had put in a small pot and it was doing nothing, she wanted to know if she had put it in upside down.

she has the point upwards, can anyone advise on this??  Because its a really strange looking bulb :)

I planted my Calla`s weeks ago still no sign of them ???.
