As addictions go, it isn't so bad. It's not terribly expensive, doesn't hurt anybody, doesn't take up much space, doesn't hurt your body, and is not illegal.
Rest easy. We won't tell.   :) :-X

I also have the same problem, but for any seeds, in fact I can't remember the last time I walked out of a garden centre/supermarket/instore/wilkinsons etc etc without a packet of seeds!!! It's become a family joke now!  You are not alone.  ;D

Isn't it in Norway where they've just built a huge seed repository in case of some disaster? They should have saved their money and counted on the Brits in A4A.

I was amazed the other week when I looked through my tom seeds and realised how many varieties I have. Dunno what it is about toms; I don't have large collections of anything else.

Onions are my addiction. I planted a bed full of sets in October and a full kilo each of Red Barron and Sturon sets a few weeks ago. And if that's not enough, I've got a tray full of "Giant" seeds hardening off ready to go out.

Wether they grow into giants on my plot is another thing.

It doesn't just end at seeds - I went shopping in town for some new work shoes last week and came back with 2 blackcurrants, tomato feed and a wooden dibber - no shoes though... :D

3 shoe boxes jam packed of seeds, out of those 41 varieties of toms...and still having to hold me back from buying/ collecting more :o...well my excuse is that I do not smoke, nor drink and I only buy new pair of wellis when my old ones do not hold any puncture repairs anymore,,so I have to spend my husbands money for something ;D

Squash (80 plus varieties winter and summer), beans (at least 100 varieties) and tomatoes (now up to just under 50 varieties). My OH despairs and asks whats the point - my reply at least I don't have an expensive handbag and shoe fetish! :D

Mmm this is very sad. I think you should all get some therapy, it scares me bit when I hear about folks that hoard seeds to this extent,you all know I am right.

I am so thankful that my small collection is not taking over my life.

I wish you all well, take care, grit your teeth when next in a gardening centre, you can do it.

XX Jeannine ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)

I agree Jeannine, but Its easier said then done! - Poundland is the worst - 6 packs of seeds for a quid - aaaarrrgggghhh! - you know they'll be rubbish but still can't avoid the temptation! ;D

I have to plead guilty too -  especially when it comes to Tomato's - yes I saw that Jamie Oliver salad too.

Must confess that sometimes I pay for all this though --- spent yesterday afternoon digging out a lot of jerusalem artichokes (which I just had to have after watching "Grow your own veg" -- and which gave us both much discomfort on the one occassion we ate them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't learned by this though....I'm now hankering after a grapevine after reading various threads on here............. ::)
