I am planning on growing carrots, parsnips and swede. Also next weekend I am getting a piece of rhubarb from a friend. (cos I have killed mine some how)
The question is this.
2 thirds of the garden gets good sunshine and the other third is a bit shaded by the house.
What are your veiws on where would be best to place these crops?
Have to ask or things would just get plonked!
Thanks x

Carrots definitely in the sun,
Parsnips and Swedes can manage with partial shade ( a bit shaded as you put it) as can the rhubarb

Salad and stuff with big leaves usually handle shade better. In my experience sometimes it can get too sunny and the semi-shade places are actually better.
Runner beans, french beans and more exotic stuff obviously should get the sunniest spots.
