My Sweet peas;

Trying a new way of propagation this year, i.e. 'chitting' seems to be working

Looking good. Is the propagator in the greenhouse?

I started broad beans in a single tray propagator as I got fed up with seeds being eaten by deer/mice/birds.

Also started leeks in tray in an unheated greenhouse.

I suppose we'll get there in the end, but it's looking a bit bare at the moment!!

That's the heat mat.

Apologies if this is a silly question Tim, but how exactly does the heat mat work and what is it made of? We are just finishing erecting a 8'x12' greenhouse so can't wait to get going!
