Title: New garden
Post by: ruud on January 07, 2008, 19:55:21
Got a great surprise this afternoon. On ouwer allotment a garden with shed and greenhouse came free. The owner goodnot go on gardening, because of his illnes.Wenn something like that happens the owner of the allotment comes to a price of his bellongings, wenn you are first in choice, what i was,and you are willing to pay the price for the belongings of the former owner, the garden is yours.I payed 250 euro for a shed(2x3)and a greenhouse(3x6(,not a bad deal. The only thing now i can start all over again, moving trees and shrubs, but all for a good case. ;D ;D ;D ;D

The price is even better due to you not having to move or build any of the dwellings. Definitely off to a great start. ;)

That's pretty much how it worked in Birmingham in the old days. Plots were held on long leases, and you had to buy the lease, the value of which obviously depended on what was on the plot.
