It's just 15.30 and the light is starting to go. How depressing! I don't like it! Waaaah! (http://www.ogrishforum.com/images/smilies/smiliecry.gif)

If we didn't have grotty weather, how would we ever appreciate the nice stuff?
Anyway, it's the 1st of Advent, so now we can officially start eating mince pies and Christmas pudding. I may even write the cards tonight, and get in before my Auntie Eileen for once.

West Essex and the wind and rain have not stopped ALL DAY. We've been wondering if our back fence would survive (it's a bit unstable and wobbly lol) At one point the rain was horizontal because the winds were so strong.

It rained cats and dogs today, and v windy too. Luckily yesterday we picked up 15 bags of manure and put over a couple of beds (ankle deep in wet horsy stuff, but never mind). Wanted to get some more today, but too wet. Will have to wait till next weekend (weather permitting).

I was working on my plot despite the weather. It managed to stop raining.
Just a thought - the M & S advert has a song running in the background "It's the most wonderful time of the year" (i.e. Christmas) I think to myself "oh no it isn't!!" The most wonderful time of the year is something that no shops or television can commercialise - it's the day when you go to your plot and see the seedlings coming through. So it may be dull and dark now but in a month or two it will be Spring again.
