Did you use collars to get that length of white, or just earth them up? Mine seem to be short and fat this year!

we just planted them deep and kept mulching them up with compost   :)

Very nice, when you say mulching do you mean as you would with potatoes?

bit like that, dougie, they were planted deep and mulched around with compost, does mean they have to be cleaned more as we don't put any sort of collar on them
