I'm so excited - there are tiny tomatoes on my tomato plants and flower buds on my spuds!
Yes - I know it's perfectly natural for tomato plants to have fruit on them and spuds to flower, but I just can't help getting excited about it!

Aqui, that's great news. I know how you feel as I've just been out to check on my plants and have noticed that the courgette plant has baby courgettes! My tomato plant has got teeny-weeny tomatoes on also. So exciting isn't it!

Well done to you Aquilegia, im hoping to be cheering myself soon, im sure im not too far off seeing my first fruits!
Does anyone know when I can expect to be picking these toms?
And what about things like peppers? mine are only about a foot high and seem to be growing very slowly. Oh dear im getting far too impatiant already..

Leonie - I seem to remember that it takes less than a month from seeing the pea-sized fruits to harvesting (could be wrong, Could be wishful thinking!) I'd imagine beefsteak ones take longer.
Last year my mum's peppers didn't get much taller than a foot or so but produced lots of fruits.

Thats brilliant news, just what I wanted to hear. Im off to the recipes section now to find out what to do when my seven plants give me fruit at the same time ;D
