Title: another cause for celebration
Post by: aquilegia on June 22, 2004, 09:06:07
I'm so excited - there are tiny tomatoes on my tomato plants and flower buds on my spuds!

Yes - I know it's perfectly natural for tomato plants to have fruit on them and spuds to flower, but I just can't help getting excited about it!

Aqui, that's great news. I know how you feel as I've just been out to check on my plants and have noticed that the courgette plant has baby courgettes! My tomato plant has got teeny-weeny tomatoes on also. So exciting isn't it!

Leonie - I seem to remember that it takes less than a month from seeing the pea-sized fruits to harvesting (could be wrong, Could be wishful thinking!) I'd imagine beefsteak ones take longer.

Last year my mum's peppers didn't get much taller than a foot or so but produced lots of fruits.
