Title: chilli curling
Post by: vegging out on June 11, 2007, 17:24:05
Hi,the leaves (or leafs?) on one of my chilli plants are curling upwards, like the way you curl your tongue.Any idea if this will be detrimental to the health of the plant?  :)

I can't curl my tongue! but as long as the curling isn't hiding a caterpillar it will be ok...

Hi there, there was a thread about this a couple of weeks ago.  I think it mentioned over watering was the main cause of this, try a search on chilli's.  Mine are doing similar so i'm trying to neglect them to cure it!  ;D

I've seen that on various leaves.  What causes it Tim?

My first thought would be aphids, if you don't have those, I am certain it is a drop in temperature, a little while ago, cold snap one night will do it  and they got a chill, the leaves coming at that point come out puckered, you realise till you see the growth  a couple of weeks later. They will grow out of it. Don't worry. XX Jeannine
