Title: Why is there never a man around when you want one?

I have always had loads of male flowers on all my courgettes first & usually waited ages for the first female. Certainly is a weird year.

Will look a bit closer when they flower and see if I can tell the difference... and Jeanine, self-pollinating sounds interesting to me, but a male always comes in handy! Lin
