I thought I had posted this before but cannot find it. Many have problems getting these to flower but if you feed well for about four months and leave the leaves on they will flower each year. I bought the original bulb in 1988 and have given bulbs away most years. When I divide this up next year I will have another five.

i have the same one flower for two years now. It's out in the garden atm ! :o

Never seen any of mine split into new plants. Do they do that? With mine, the bulb just gets bigger and bigger after each flowering, until they outgrow the pot. Currently have one (amarylis apple blossom) just finished flowering a couple of weeks ago, and the leaves (3) are about 3 foot long. The bulb itself is now around 5 inches in diameter, and growing.

Some varieties seem to multiply more than others, I have a white one that I rescued from a person who could not get it to flower and that one produces many offshoots each year, but most produces side growths given time.
