Title: Slip Slidin' Away
Post by: Chezzie on May 22, 2004, 13:34:22
I just went to buy some garden plants from my tame grower and especially didn't put on shoes with a profile because all the mud and slime gets stuck in them.........................so slipped and I went A over T in my brand new jeans [only on for an hour] and got a very green wet bum, sat on a few petunias on the way down as well, I was tempted to sing 'I'm a lonely little onion in a petunia patch' I cleared up the debris paid Nol and backed out!  I've got some smashing Blue Veined Surfinias.  I've also got hanging plants I buy every year and I can't think of their name, it's driving me mad and I forgot to ask, it's got thick dark green quite fat leaves about the size of a 50p [if they are still the same as when I lived there] the little blue flowers are on long thin stems and they look like big Lobelia............please help! [they flower right up until the frost get's them]

Sun is shining and I'm going planting!

Good oh. If you do not have a photo manipulation program which came with the camera, then down load the free one from Hpphoto.com It is called Photo Manager. It is dead easy to use. Instructions are available if needed. The size I use is 300 pixels by 225 pixels. for side by side posting and 350 by 263 for a one off posting. Give it a whirl and ask if you need any more assistance.

They are but I didn't grow them, I only have a terrace so I buy them from a friendly grower.  I need to go this week so I'll take a photo, there are flowers as far as the eye can see, about 6 massive glasshouses so I get to choose the best, the light colour are a new strain that he is experimenting with but he didn't have the heart to take them off me.  Plenty of fertilizer is the secret of petunias, he has wonderful Million Bells in all sorts of colours.............very dangerous for my purse!
