Title: Brown Sugar
Post by: Trixiebelle on April 15, 2007, 15:20:48
This works a treat for cleaning your hands after gardening! My mate told me about it last week and it really works .. better than the 'dreaded' scrubbing brush  ::)

Just wet hand and rub sugar into palms, rinse off etc.

It doesn't quite work for under fingernails though. I'm thinking of having mine surgically removed to save embarassment at the Co-Op checkout  ;D

OKRA:  ;D

My mate the other day said "Oh! You've dyed your hair - you're blonde again!"

In fact, I'd just had a bath and washed it  ;D

Try using salt and half a lemon all squidged together, you can add a bit of cooking oil and that also helps!  mmmmm.... sweet and sour but very clean hands and nails, try it and see!

Have been using sugar method for years but I also put a little olive oil in the palm of my hands first. Nice silky hands :)

I think mud under the fingernails is a badge of honour - also what would I do during long boring meetings if I didn't have it to clean out?   ;D

people say to me 'looks like you've been digging potatoes' & I say 'yep & they were delicious'.

Tip for under nails ...
I was told to scrape a bar of soap under my nails BEFORE gardening and when you have finished they should clean easily ....

Cause you have to do when they are clean ...and remember ...i always forget
